Seasonal Bliss: Your Summer-to-Fall Ayurvedic Wellness Plan

Blissful Living 4 U - Seasonal Bliss: Your Summer-to-Fall Ayurvedic Wellness Plan

Author: Dr. Rochel Marie Lawson

Let’s be real, Queen—seasonal transitions can be sneaky energy drainers.

One moment you’re basking in the summer sunshine, slaying goals, sipping iced herbal teas.
The next? You’re foggy. Tired. Snacking on everything. Feeling anxious and not quite like yourself.

Here’s the truth: Nature is shifting… and so are you.

In Ayurveda, seasonal change is sacred. It’s a natural invitation to realign, detox, slow down, and prepare your mind, body, and spirit for a new rhythm.

And the summer-to-fall shift? It’s one of the most important windows for your wellness and wealth all year.

Tiffany’s Story: The Seasonal Crash

Tiffany, a six-figure mindset coach and longtime client, came to me every September with the same symptoms:

Fatigue. Anxiety. Skin breakouts. Insomnia. Mental fog.
“I don’t know what happens,” she said. “I feel amazing all summer, and then it’s like my body just… quits.”

The root cause? She wasn’t adjusting her lifestyle, foods, or routines to match the seasonal energy.

Once we built her Ayurvedic seasonal wellness plan, she stopped crashing—and started thriving.

Ayurvedic Wisdom: Ritu Sandhi & Seasonal Balance

Ayurveda calls the space between seasons Ritu Sandhi—a sacred pause where we detox, transition, and recalibrate.

In late summer (Pitta season), the fire element is high, bringing heat, intensity, drive, and ambition.
As we shift into fall (Vata season), the energy becomes dry, cool, windy, and scattered.

If you don’t prepare for that shift, you risk:

  • Digestive distress
  • Anxiety or insomnia
  • Weakened immunity
  • Dry skin, brittle hair
  • Loss of focus or productivity

From Pitta to Vata: A Queen’s Guide to Seasonal Alignment

Let’s walk through your Summer-to-Fall Ayurvedic Wellness Plan so you can slay this transition with grace.

Step 1: Soothe the Fire (Pitta Detox)

If summer left you inflamed, overheated, or overworked, now’s the time to cool and clear that excess fire.

Pitta Detox Tips:

  • Drink aloe vera juice or coconut water daily
  • Avoid spicy, sour, and fermented foods for a week
  • Eat more cucumbers, watermelon, mint, and cilantro
  • Practice cooling yoga (forward folds, moon salutations)
  • Spend time near water: lakes, baths, or cool evening walks

Use this time to check in: Are you holding anger, perfectionism, or overdoing energy? Now’s the time to release.

Step 2: Ground the Wind (Vata Stabilization)

As temperatures drop, Vata rises. This can lead to scattered thinking, anxiety, dry skin, and trouble sleeping.

Vata Season Strategies:

  • Stick to a consistent daily routine (wake, meals, bedtime)
  • Embrace warm, grounding foods: soups, stews, root veggies, ghee
  • Oil your skin daily with sesame or ashwagandha oil
  • Reduce raw, cold, or light foods—skip the salad for now
  • Journal or meditate every evening to release mental chatter

Step 3: Align Your Mind

The summer-to-fall shift often brings emotional turbulence: comparison, restlessness, procrastination, and fear.

Use the Blissful Living Blueprint System to assess your internal energy zones.
Affirmations and Ayurvedic mind-body alignment can stabilize your mindset as nature changes.

Try This Affirmation:
“I welcome change with grounded grace. I am rooted, radiant, and whole.”

Step 4: Support Your Digestion

Your Agni (digestive fire) is delicate during seasonal change.

Seasonal Digestion Boosters:

  • Sip warm water or ginger tea throughout the day
  • Start meals with a spoon of ginger-lime-honey paste
  • Eat your largest meal at lunch
  • Avoid ice, carbonated drinks, and late-night snacks

Step 5: Simplify & Reflect

This is a sacred time to release what no longer serves.

Ask yourself:

  • Where am I holding onto heat (resentment, drive, overdoing)?
  • Where can I invite in stillness and nourishment?
  • How can I support my nervous system, not just my schedule?

Seasonal transitions are powerful for entrepreneurs and leaders because they mirror what’s happening within: a shedding, a softening, a sacred return to self.

Gut Instincts: How to Heal Digestion the Ayurvedic Way

Blissful Living 4 U - Gut Instincts: How to Heal Digestion the Ayurvedic Way

Author: Dr. Rochel Marie Lawson

Have you ever felt like your gut was trying to send you a message?

You feel bloated after meals… your energy crashes… or you’re dealing with gas, heartburn, or constipation that just won’t quit.

And your doctor says, “Everything looks fine.”

But deep inside, you know something’s off.

Sweet Queen, that’s your gut intelligence speaking—and in Ayurveda, it’s called Agni, or digestive fire.

When Agni is strong, we digest life with clarity, strength, and joy.
When Agni is weak or imbalanced, toxins accumulate—physically, mentally, and emotionally. That sluggish feeling? That foggy mind? That moodiness? All signs your digestion needs attention.

My Client Naomi’s Story: The Bloat Battle

Naomi was a high-powered marketing exec who lived on protein shakes, salads, and coffee. She came to me tired, frustrated, and bloated like clockwork after every meal.

“I do everything right,” she said. “I eat clean, I work out, but I look five months pregnant by noon.”

We ran no labs. No fancy scans.
I simply looked at her tongue, asked her how she poops, and knew exactly what was wrong.

Her Agni was burned out—overwhelmed by raw foods, iced drinks, late-night snacking, and years of ignoring her body’s signals.

What Is Agni?

In Ayurveda, Agni is your digestive fire. It’s responsible for:

  • Breaking down food and absorbing nutrients
  • Processing emotions and experiences
  • Supporting immunity and mental clarity

A strong Agni = radiant health.
A weak Agni = sluggish metabolism, toxins (ama), gas, bloating, disease.

Signs Your Digestion Is Out of Balance

  • Gas, bloating, constipation, or diarrhea
  • Bad breath or coated tongue
  • Heavy feeling after eating
  • Cravings for sugar, caffeine, or ice
  • Mood swings and fatigue
  • Skin breakouts or inflammation
  • Poor appetite or emotional eating

The Doshas & Digestion

Ayurveda gives us a unique lens on how each dosha affects digestion—and how to reset it naturally.

Vata Digestion: The Gassy Gut

Common Signs:

  • Gas, bloating, dry stools, irregular appetite

Why it Happens:
Vata is cold, dry, and mobile—when it’s out of balance, it disrupts digestion’s rhythm.

Healing Tips:

  • Eat warm, cooked meals (think stews, soups, root veggies)
  • Drink ginger or fennel tea
  • Avoid raw salads, popcorn, or ice water
  • Add warming spices: cumin, cardamom, cinnamon
  • Create a calm, unrushed eating environment

Pitta Digestion: The Fiery Gut

Common Signs:

  • Acid reflux, burning hunger, loose stools, irritation

Why it Happens:
Pitta is hot and sharp—when excessive, it leads to inflammation and overheating in the gut.

Healing Tips:

  • Focus on cooling foods: basmati rice, cucumbers, coconut
  • Avoid spicy, fried, or acidic foods
  • Sip aloe vera juice or coconut water between meals
  • Eat in a peaceful, non-competitive environment
  • Use herbs like coriander, fennel, and mint

Kapha Digestion: The Sluggish Gut

Common Signs:

  • Slow digestion, heaviness, mucus, weight gain

Why it Happens:
Kapha is heavy, damp, and stable—when excessive, it causes stagnation.

Healing Tips:

  • Eat light, warm, spicy meals (soups, lentils, sautéed greens)
  • Avoid dairy, sugar, and cold foods
  • Start meals with ginger-lemon tea
  • Add spices: turmeric, black pepper, ginger, cayenne
  • Avoid overeating—honor true hunger

My Daily Blissful Digestion Ritual

This is what I teach in my AST sessions and summits—it’s a Tridoshic digestion routine that works for all doshas:

  1. Tongue scrape + warm lemon water every morning
  2. Sit down for every meal—no eating in the car or at your desk!
  3. Make lunch your biggest meal (Agni is strongest mid-day)
  4. Chew slowly and completely—digestion starts in the mouth
  5. Use digestive teas based on your dosha after meals
  6. Stop eating 2–3 hours before bed

Simple shifts. Powerful healing.

What Happened to Naomi?

After just two weeks of practicing Ayurvedic digestion rituals, Naomi’s bloating disappeared. Her energy returned. Her skin cleared. And she even noticed her anxiety started to fade.

She said, “I didn’t know digestion affected my mood, my skin, my confidence—everything. I feel like I’ve been reset.”

And that, Queen, is what happens when you ignite your Agni.

Blissful Living 4 U - Gut Instincts: How to Heal Digestion the Ayurvedic Way

Why Gut Health = Wealth, Wisdom & Wellness

A strong digestive fire doesn’t just process food. It processes:

  • Your emotions (so you don’t hold onto stress)
  • Your ideas (so you can execute and lead)
  • Your experiences (so you can grow with grace)

Gut health is central to your energy, clarity, intuition, and ability to create wealth.

In Ayurveda, your gut isn’t just a body part—it’s your power center.

Queen, It’s Time to Heal from the Inside Out

You don’t need another probiotic or fad cleanse. You need realignment with your body’s natural wisdom.

When your digestion flows, your life flows.
When your Agni is strong, your dreams rise higher.
